3.覆盖在钢液上面，可减少热损失，防止钢液吸收气体；

4.能吸收铁的蒸发物，能吸收转炉氧流下的反射铁粒，可稳定电弧炉的电弧；  

Can absorb the evaporation of iron, can absorb the reflected iron particles under the oxygen flow of converter, can stabilize the arc of electric arc furnace.

5.冲刷和侵蚀炉衬，好的炉渣能减轻这种不良影响，延长炉衬寿命。

Scouring and erosion of furnace lining, good slag can reduce such adverse effects and prolong lining life.
